![]() These two points I believe are at the crux of my AP (analysis paralysis). Also, MoDR pre-order right now will include all the stretch goals from the KS, later it will not. (All stretch goals are included in pre-order for a limited time).Īgain, because LRoA is currently on retail shelves and MoDR is still in pre-order, there is less buzz about the latter and more about the former. I do know that a solo mode was unlocked during KS that contains 6 branching story lines and upgrades between games. *I don't know much about the solo play in this game. In MoDR, I like the rondel movement, collecting items in a polynomial way, exploration, and dice chucking. *I've heard the solo play is amazing, and now there is a new official solo expansion on BGG that is getting some high ratings. In LRoA, I like that there is hidden info on the board, discovery and research, adding assistants to increase your abilities. I've also heard that LRoA is very smooth and MoDR is fiddly. I also like games that offer different paths to victory which these both seem to have. In general, I very much like worker placement games and within that, variation in action spaces is definitely a bonus. (I know LRoA is available now and MoDR is pre-order, for this reason, so that aside.)įor both, I like the art, the weight, the table presence, the components, and themes. ![]() I have these two games on my radar for my next-to-buy and they both feel as though they would fill a space in my collection that is open at the moment. that' (in that these games do not share specific mechanics or theme) but it is more in relation to overall weight, art, components, solo play and replayability than any specific mechanic or theme.
